The Culturally Authentic Pictorial Lexicon: (CAPL) German-English Picture Dictionary-CAPL

Leo from Munich: Very large online dictionary with grammar and pronunciation information.

dict.cc: Online dictionary with specialization in technical terminology.

Travel & Tourism

German Information Service: Maintained by the German Embassy, this is the best starting point for info about Germany.

German National Tourist Office: Practical info on traveling in Germany, plus profiles of many cities.

Study Abroad

studyabroad.com: Contains links to a number of US-sponsored programs in Germany. A good place to start.

Goethe Institute: Info about the various courses offered by the institute, plus other language resources.
 

German Academic Exchange Council: Awards scholarships for studying in Germany.
